Zanzibar

ZANZIBAR Or Unguja  island  95km long and 35km from the Tanzania mainland. Only few countries in the world equal  Zanzibar’s long  white sand beaches leading to warm aquamarine water providing  the back drop  for excellent snorkeling and diving.  With a history steeped in the slave trade and an important trading post for cloves and spices  the island  is now a popular tourist destination and essentially a nineteenth century phenomenon .

Zanzibar's old quarter, Stone Town, is a fascinating maze of narrow streets and alleyways which lead past numerous old   houses and mosques, ornate palaces, and shops and bazaars. Many buildings in the Stone Town date from the 15th-century slave boom.

Other adventures may include a visit to the Jozani Forest to see the rare and endangered Red Colobus Monkey that is endemic to Jozani, a Dolphin or diving/snorkeling safari or just relax on one of Zanzibar’s pristine white beaches.

Day 1: Stone Town
You will be picked from your hotel in Moshi and transported to Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight to Zanzibar.  Upon arrival in Zanzibar you will be transported to your hotel in Stone Town where you will be able to explore the town on your own. Overnight at 236 Hurumzi

Day 2: Beach
After breakfast, you will be transported out to your beach accommodations on the northern end of the island. Overnight at Ras Nungwi or Kendwa Rocks

Day 3: Beach
Full day at the beach. Overnight at Ras Nungwi or Kendwa Rocks

Day 4: Departure
After breakfast you will be transported back to Zanzibar airport to return home.
