Most international visitors to Tanzania need a valid passport and a tourist visa. Requirements vary by nationality — we guide every guest through the process so there are no surprises at Kilimanjaro International Airport or on arrival.
Passport Requirements
Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your intended departure date from Tanzania and have at least one blank page for entry stamps.
Carry a printed copy of your travel insurance, return flight details, and accommodation confirmations — immigration officers may ask to see them.
Tanzania Tourist Visa
Many nationalities can apply for an e-Visa online through the official Tanzania Immigration website before travel. Alternatively, a visa on arrival is available at major entry points including Kilimanjaro (JRO), Dar es Salaam, and Zanzibar airports — though we recommend applying online when possible to save time.
Visa fees and processing times change periodically. Contact our team for the latest guidance based on your nationality.
