When to Book for a Safari

The best time for a tanzania safari

Depending on your interests and the type of experience you want to have. Generally, Tanzania has two distinct seasons: the dry season and the wet season.

The dry season, runs from June to October, is the peak season for Tanzania safaris. This is the best time to see the Great Wildebeest Migration, as thousands of wildebeests and zebras move across the Serengeti in search of fresh grazing. The dry season also offers excellent wildlife viewing opportunities as animals congregate around watering holes and rivers.

The wet season, which runs from November to May, is known for its lush, green landscapes and baby animal sightings.
During this season, the vegetation is at its most vibrant, and the newborn animals are plentiful. However, the wet season can also mean muddy roads and occasional heavy rainfall, which can make some areas difficult to access.

Overall, the best time to go on a Tanzania safari is during the dry season if you want to see the Great Wildebeest Migration and have excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. However, if you are interested in seeing the lush green landscapes and baby animal sightings, the wet season may be a better option.
